The Moral Promotion Center is driving forward social innovation by launching the "Moral Hackathon 2026" for its 5th consecutive year [1.1.2]. Hosted under the concept "Moral Hack (a bit) - Change a little, Life is good," the event invites university students to brainstorm, design, and develop new products, services, or processes aimed at driving positive behavioral changes in society.

Dr. Suriyadeo Tripathi, Director of the Moral Promotion Center, stated that the center is committed to acting as a central hub for moral knowledge and innovation. It bridges collaboration across the public, private, educational, and civil society sectors under the core philosophy of "Moral Touchable." This approach focuses on making morality easy to understand, relatable, and practically applicable in daily life.

This year's Moral Hackathon features a comprehensively designed process that guides participants from raw ideas to real-world presentations. The journey consists of 4 main stages:

  1. Boot Camp (August 17–19, 2026)

  2. Ideation Workshop (September 3–4, 2026) – exclusively for the top 8 finalist teams.

  3. Progress Review – an opportunity for each team to receive expert feedback from mentors to refine and improve their projects.

  4. Final Pitching – the ultimate decision round where teams compete for a total prize pool of over 150,000 Baht [1.1.4].

The Moral Hackathon initiative has seen continuous growth year after year—not only in the number of applicants and the quality of submissions but also in the level of support from multi-disciplinary experts [1.3.2]. It provides a valuable platform for students to co-create actionable social innovation prototypes that can be further developed for real-world impact, along with receiving an official certificate of participation from the Moral Promotion Center.
